Let me break this down.  

I did this photoshoot and project knowing I was going to be topless infront of a male photographer. I knew he had done nude photoshoots before and I knew I was in a safe space.

 

It wasn’t the fact that Henry was an incredible photographer with experience that made me feel safe. It wasn’t the fact that he had done nude shoots before that made everything feel acceptable.

It’s the ownership I have over my own body that made me feel safe. It’s my own power that made me feel in control. Knowing that I had lived in my body for 21 years - watched, felt and nurtured it myself so it could transform into the powerhouse that it is now... no amount of conviction or thunder in anyone else’s voice can make me feel any less electric. Any less proud. 


So here is me. 
Nude but not sexualised. 
Naked but not weak. 


And trust me. If you stare at me. I will stare back.
